This site was originally created by Holly Nelson. Holly
is a very talented young lady as you can see from her artwork.
A year and a half ago, Holly entered our logo contest, and won!
She then offered her services to help us run a website. She
put together two sites, one for NNFN (Northern Nevada Ferret Network)
and one for BLFS (Biggest Little Ferret Shelter), and ran them
for a year and a half. She put a great deal of effort into the
sites, and as you can see, did a real good job on them.
During
this time, she also helped with our educational events, putting together
flyers, riding along on an occasional rescue, and even doing some
rescue herself, along with adopting many of the shelter's homeless
ferrets. She was always the queen of our technical stuff.
For our annual frolic, she made keychains, greeting cards, along with
many of the signs we needed made. She also created a great
deal of graphic artwork for this website and our monthly newsletter. She
truly dove right in and helped a great deal of ferrets along her journey.
Holly
moved to Alabama last December. Once settled after her
move, she had taken many new responsibilities upon herself.
Just as she did in Reno, she got over involved with many organizations.
Getting over involved is a great trait to have, but sometimes it can
get the best of you and it's hard to keep up.
Holly gave
up the websites, and now I'm doing the updates. The NNFN
site was completely changed, however, I tried to keep everything as
original as I could with the BLFS site, as not to insult her work,
just maintaining current events. Since the BLFS has closed,
there is no need for a shelter website, so we combined the two websites
together. Anything to do with rescue ferrets that would have
normally been on the BLFS site, is now on this site with Holly's talented
artwork, all the NNFN stuff uses Deva's artwork (Deva has her name
on her artwork, artwork with out a name should be assumed belonging
to Holly).
We want to thank Holly for all her hard work and her
generous donations to the ferrets. She played a very big role
in the Biggest Little Ferret Shelter. As one of the original
board members, this rescue organization, would not be the same with
out her.
