Ferrets Up For Adoption
If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application.
Ferrets under a year $85 each
Ferrets 1-2 years old $75 each
Ferrets 2-3 years old, $65 each
Ferrets over 3 are $60
Ferrets in larger groups, older, and/or special needs ferrets are on a case by case basis.
If you think our adoption fees are high, then perhaps a ferret is not the right pet for you. Your veterinary bills will be much greater than that measly adoption fee. If you can't afford to spend $500 on veterinary care, then you can not afford a ferret.

Currently the NNFN has several ferrets for adoption - however, updating the site is time consuming - and we are looking for new volunteers - please be patient while our organization gets organized.

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application.  If you don't see a fuzzy you like, fill out an application anyway and I will put you on a waiting list, when a new fuzzy comes in, I'll notify you immediately and the ferret/s won't have to stay at the shelter long. If you are interested in fostering any of the special needs kids, please fill out on application and list what kind of ferrets you would like to be a foster home for.  Also, please let me know why you want to be a ferret foster parent, and what you think your responsibilities as a ferret foster parent are.
Don't see a ferret that fits you?  Join Renoferrets http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Renoferrets/ and post your want for a fuzzy, or if you need to give up your ferret, you can post that too!

Aren't interested in adopting but want to help anyway?  Why not sponsor a ferret?

Coco (short for Coconut),

Coco was originally a CA confiscate.  Then he was adopted, then he came back.  His adopted mom had a bit of an accident, and Coco's head got slammed in a door.  Unfortunately, the vet could not save his eye, but he did live through the tragedy and is now an otherwise healthy and happy ferret.  His adopted mom could not financially care for Coco, and he is back at the under care of the NNFN volunteers.   Coco will be staying in his foster home indefinitely.

Coco has had to have two additional surgeries on his eye.  The third surgery was performed on 2/1/06, the vet had cauterized the eye to prevent future problems.
It's easy to sponsor a ferret.  There are several ways to do so as well.  You can made doantions to the vet bill, or send gifts like sleep sacks for the ferret you would like to sponsor.  Whatever you would like to do, even if it's just $10 a month for that ferret, that is a lot.  It will pay for food/treats, ferretone, or medical care.  We will be happy to send you personal updates on your sponsored fuzzy.

Ben & Geri,
These two kids are just amazing!  And Babies!  They were confiscated in CA and had to spend some time in the CA ferret jail before transport was approved for them to find their way here.  The important part is they are here and ready for a new home.

These two have to stay together, if you are interested, please fill out an application.
